The bot ignores past signals!!!!

A common “issue” faced by new users is ignored entry or exit signals. There was no trade being opened or closed lately, but when they checked frequi, they would see entry or exit signals few candles ago. They would then come to conclussion that the bot was ignoring some signals. But is it really true?

This issue should be investigated case-by-case because there are some possible cause, but the most common cause is lookahead bias. When the problematic candle was the latest, there is no future candles available. If your indicator need future data, then the calculation would give unreliable result. Only after it has more future candles, then suddenly the entry or exit signal appears.

Try to use lookahead-analysis command to check for lookahead bias. Most of the time, it is the cause.
